PSALM wants you!

PSALM is seeking enthusiastic, capable, organized, deadline-sensitive volunteers who have a few hours a week to help advance its mission and goals. These are the areas where PSALM needs your help to meets its ambitious goals for the next several years.

MEMBERSHIP

Are you a PSALM member who thinks that PSALM is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and the best kept secret in America? With managerial, administrative, and interpersonal skills you can help put a PSALM membership network in place through Regional Coordinators.

MARKETING

Do you have creative marketing ideas that you would love to contribute toward the growth and development of Orthodox music and musicians? We need capable people to develop and implement a Marketing Plan for sales of PSALM products and programs, as well as members of a marketing team with sales skills, design abilities, and/or general administrative experience.

PUBLIC RELATIONS/COMMUNICATIONS

Do you have excellent writing skills and some professional experience in pubic relations? This is a volunteer job for you! You would work in coordination with the Marketing Committee and the Board of Directors to utilize existing tools and develop new avenues for spreading the word about what PSALM is doing.

OUTREACH TO YOUTH

Do you connect well with youth? Do you want to assure their active involvement in the music of the Church and in PSALM in the future? Help PSALM expand an existing list of young Orthodox musicians and develop creative ways to reach out to them.

CLERGY RELATIONS

As a member of the clergy, do you see a need/opportunity to increase collaboration between Church musicians and clergy? Help PSALM by serving on a committee that will develop ideas for encouraging dialogue between Church musicians and clergy, and communicate PSALM's mission and goals to other members of the clergy.

DIRECTORY OF ORTHODOX LITURGICAL MUSIC RESOURCES AND CHURCH MUSICIANS

Do you have a few hours a month to help us keep our new Directory current in with each annual edition? This is a job for someone who has a computer and internet access and enjoys working with a database.

LITURGICAL MUSIC RESOURCE

Would you love to help make this wonderful project a reality? The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Committee need general support as well as cataloging and typesetting to put church music publications into an on-line resource, where they will be available for downloading. You will use PSALM's templates to typeset new settings and edit music submissions, using guidelines from the Editorial Committee.

LITURGICAL MUSIC REFERENCE CENTER

Do you love surfing the web and exploring various types of resources for interesting articles? Help upgrade and enhance PSALM's Liturgical Music Reference Center with articles on subjects of interest to PSALM members. We also need volunteers to help expand the website's Glossary of Liturgical Terms.
